Condition
Excellent vintage pre-owned condition with light signs of previous wear consistent with age. Colors remain vibrant and the embroidered graphics and patches display beautifully. Please review all photos closely for exact condition.

This one has a great story behind it. The 2006 World Baseball Classic was the inaugural edition of the tournament, bringing MLB stars and international players together to represent their countries in a true global baseball competition.

Team Italy’s roster included one of the greatest catchers in baseball history, Mike Piazza, alongside players including Frank Catalanotto, Mark DeRosa, David Dellucci, Jason Grilli and others with professional baseball experience. Piazza’s involvement makes the 2006 Italy uniforms particularly recognizable to collectors, and period photographs show him wearing this same distinctive royal-blue Italia uniform design during the tournament.

The jersey itself is loaded with details that separate it from an ordinary Italy baseball shirt—the large Italia script, Italian flag patch, colorful inaugural ’06 World Baseball Classic patch, Majestic branding, green-and-white panels and USA construction all capture the look of that first WBC.
