Treasure Hunter's Note:
The Newark Eagles were one of the most celebrated franchises in Negro Leagues history, operating from 1936 through 1948 under the ownership of Abe and Effa Manley. Based in Newark, New Jersey, the team featured some of baseball's greatest talents, including future Hall of Famers Larry Doby, Monte Irvin, Leon Day, Willie Wells, and Ray Dandridge.
Their greatest achievement came in 1946, when the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Monarchs in a thrilling seven-game Negro World Series to capture the championship. That historic team remains one of the most celebrated in Negro Leagues history.
The Eagles also played an important role in baseball's integration. Larry Doby went on to break the American League's color barrier with the Cleveland Indians in 1947, just months after Jackie Robinson's historic debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers.
This Rings & Crwns cap honors that remarkable legacy with its 1946 commemorative patch, classic Eagles insignia, and navy-and-gold colorway. A meaningful addition for collectors of Negro Leagues memorabilia, Newark baseball history, and vintage-inspired fitted headwear.
